RE: [1302 eGroup] 1972 1302 Air-conditioning

Keith

I bought off eBay (where else?!) the VW aircon service book.  I don’t want to sell it as I’m after a rhd aircon set myself but it might be useful to make copies of relevant pages.

my best information is there was no such thing as factory air con - all units were aftermarket installations - there is an air con system still in production in the US as an aftermarket product. As usual if anyone knows of better information I would be very greatful - Colin, webmaster 1302super.com

I just recently bought a 1972 1302.  Although it is unrestored, it is in
good shape.  It came with what appears to be factory air conditioning.  It
wasn't wired up and isn't working, but I'd like to take the time to get it
working.  Is there any information on the airconditioning system used in
1972 or similar beetles?

Thanks,

Keith
