Keith,
It’s called VW Workshop Manual 1969
Edition Fresh Air Heating and Air Conditioning – a proper VW dealer
manual. It’s about a hundred and fifty plus pages and I only have
one rather oily hard backed copy!
I don’t mind lending it out but I
will ask for a security as the last guy I lent a manual out to refused to
return it (since it was a gift to me he stated that he should keep it –
not very V-dub spirited).
It has inserted updated supplements up to
1973.
Where are you in the country?
P.S. I was wrong about the slotted
valance (or partly right – whatever); in place or an oil cooler if you
chose aircon then you might have a condenser behind the valance.
R.

Richard,
Any information you could provide would be
appreciated. Do you have a
scanner or would I need to pay for postage in
order to get a copy? I'll
post some pictures to the group this evening to
show the AC unit and parts
that I believe are part of the A/C system.
Thanks again,
Keith
