hey volksie fans!

i have a question for you guys, i live in stourbridge in the west
midlands and have a 1971 1302s super bug, anyway, my query is, when i
bought the car the previous owner had filed and used tin snips on the
dashboard to fit the radio in! horror! is there anything i can do to
get it back to its original state? also, i have read about the bugs
and discovered that they are ventilated by pushing air in and
expelling it through the halfmoon vent in the back correct? (if not
let me know!) however, there is no hole in the headlinig for the air
to escape, is this correct??

thanks for your help,

matt
