Hello everybody,

I am driving a 1303 specially built for my father in 1973. The car is
in great shape. I had it completely stripped and had wonderful paint
job last year. I chose one of 1975 VW colours, Algie Marine Blau.

The engine has 50.000 km on it (actual value is 472.000, but I had it
redone 2 years ago) and I do not have any problems at the moment. My
question is, whether I can use electronic ignition with my car or not?
The car is pretty much in original shape and except the carb. ( which
I replaced 2 years ago with an original German one)and the alternator
every part of the engine is from the day when it left German factory.

I will be very happy if you can give me some info about this
modification and would it be worth the effort.

Thank you all. I would like to upload some pictures of my car, but it
is a 1303 therefore I do not want to cause problems.
