Have the flywheel turned to surface it at your local machine shop. You will be taking it off to replace the main seal anyway. valves and inlets and sparkplugs too.

Ivan While your motor is out - Check the valves - never easier - and if you have a single carburetor, you could take off the inlet manifolds and clean them...

... you have a single carburetor, you could take off the inlet manifolds and clean them especially the pre-heater pipes from the exhaust to try and keep them...
