Well yes it does have vertical louvers in the front apron. I am almost positive that what I am looking at are struts ( I say almost only because I can't understand the vin starting with " 111" ). What about the spare tire laying down flat? Because ours does lay down flat. It also has rear window defrost with the light in the speedometer, which our owners manual says did not come on 111's - it only came on the longer model ( 113? ). And finally the rear engine cover has only two sets of 5 horizontal slots. But I thought that SuperBeetles came with a larger engine than 1600cc. Our engine vins confirm that it is a 1600 cc dual port engine. Thanks, Chris.

has a flat or curved windshield). The best way to tell is that if the
hood is narrow or wide. Supers have wide hoods. Another way is that
does your front apron have louvers (though some owners may have
replaced the old apron with a smooth one).
