If you have a long section of headliner missing then you are missing the
vents shown in the picture of my car -(enclosed). To say they are like hens
teeth is an understatement.
I met a guy at the Volksworld show here in the UK about 5 years ago who had
an NOS pair. He wanted £300 each for the vents - yes £600 for the pair!!!!

You will also find it difficult to get them second hand as they plastic is
destroyed by UV light!

Most people update them to the later smaller vents that are made by most
people like WCM in the states or VW Heritage in the UK

My 71 super is missing parts around the rear window. It has electric
defrosters. What seems to be missing are deflectors that blow air
across the rear windows from both the left and right side (interior)

Before I can intelligently look for them at swap meets, I need to know
what they look like! Anyone have a 71 super that has these intact and
can share a photo? Or does anyone know a source for repros? Mine is a
white headliner.
