My name Adrie from Jakarta, Indonesia.
You may check authentification of the vehicle by send the email to Ms. Christine Neefe extern.christine.neefe@... who incharge in producing the certificate of old volkswagen from Stiftung Automuseum Wolfsburg.
You just give her the VIN and engine number, and she will get back to you with the complete information and ask whether you want to order the certificate or not.
You may also browse to web below to get the certificate by your own name directly.

I'd been doing this before purchased my 1302LS back to 2005, and very grateful to have the original 1302LS by her assistance.
Good luck, and best regards,
Adrie

151 yes (5 = Convertible) (1 = 1971) check also the Production Plate which will give you week of production too if you decode it using the info on my site.
