Call for Applications:
Applications are currently being accepted for all three Rules and Regs 2007
events. In
each case, artists are commissioned to produce and exhibit a new work of
Live Art in
response to a set of rules devised by the curator. As these rules are
themselves a
response to the backgrounds of the participating artists...
• artists do not apply by submitting a project proposal.
• rules are only revealed to participating artists after their application
has been
successful.

SOUTH HILL PARK
South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell, will commission four artists to
participate in a Rules
and Regs event beginning late April 2007.
Part of SHP's purpose is to commission bold new work and foster emerging
talent, both
within the SE region and beyond. As an established venue, we are wary of
becoming fixed
and stale in the way that we use our resources and work with artists – and
the way that we
relate to our external environment and communities. We would therefore like
to
commission work that explores these challenges of site and production
relationship,
aiming to use the experience of two more established artists to foster the
creativity of two
early career artists and to use our site and facilities in new,
un-established and
experimental ways.
