Just a note to say we are very pleased to announce that artists Paul Hurley and Liisa Jaakonaho of artist collective Fourchette, will make a talk at the next 2nd Wednesday meeting, this Wednesday 9 June, 7.30pm at Freespace, Chapter.
Fourchette operates an an independent collective of South Wales based artists, acting as a catalyst not only for the production and exhibition of new work, but for the instigation of new dialogues and models of practice. A shared interest in the body - as a subject of (re-)presentation but more importantly as the site of experience, exploration and of knowledge - is what brings together the artists of fourchette, working across live and visual arts practice.
This Friday 11 June will be the opening of Fourchette / 3, an exhibition at Tactile Bosch (see www.tactilebosch.org), so we are pleased this will be an opportunity to hear about the inspirations and concerns of Fourchette as a group that has emerged over the past 3 years.
