LSWR 0415 Class   Message List

Hello all.

Having invested in the Finney Class 0415 kit, and as I'm about to start it, I
trawled my reference books for photos.  I usually have more than enough info for
any build, but in this case am sorely lacking in decent photos.

My preferred example is 30583 in about 1960, and there's a super picture of it
in Eastleigh, Steam Centre of the South Western by Barry J Eagles.  There is a
drawing (I can't vouch for the accuracy) in Railway Modeller August '83 and
March '85.  These could be a help, but I have yet to check in detail to
determine which specific loco these illustrate.  Other photos, all of which are
of other locos or somewhat doubtful quality are from BR Steam Locomotives,
Southern Region by Alan Williams and David Percival (30582), The Bluebell
Railway Stock List 2nd Edition (488), An Illustrated History of Eastleigh Loco
Works by Colin Boocock and Peter Stanton (30582) and Steam Locomotives of
British Railways by H C Casserley (30584).

Clearly, as each of the three remaining locos of the class in BR days were
significantly different in detail terms I need a few more pictures of my chosen
steed.

Does anyone in this errudite group have any advice about any good pics of 30583
in later life?

Also, I'm not anticipating any problems in this build, but has anyone built the
Finney 0415 and do they have any advice of any idiot traps I should look out
for?

Best to all.

Brian
