It was decided that the G36 should be the 9th's Lasgun quite a while
ago(infact before I joined the group). So one of the other guys will
have to explain that, though the Commissar did say a main point was
that a SCAR would always look like a SCAR.
The conversion is just a few pieces of sheet that fit onto the G36, a
magwel converter to get it to feed from the Armalite style mags and an
after market stock made by G&P, though that has been discontinued at
the moment.
As for the Las Carbine, I think thats just down to some guys going for
the G36C to mount their conversion on and others the G36K,
incidentally, that choice wouldent be open to a SCAR based Lasgun, the
only difference is barrel Length and mag size.
Cost wise, RSOV do a few different G36's between £35 and £50, and the
SCAR's from £48 to £65.
If you are doing a Kasrkin Hellgun, dont forget the power cable from
the hotshot back pack to the mag.
IMHO, A SCAR would make a reasonable Lasgun, simply remove the RIS
rails and add detailing like imperial Aquilea and power settings.
