RE: [AZH] Crown Vetch as an exhibit ground cover

I seeded some sloping areas years ago twice as I did not see any germination the first year. Years later, maybe 15, I finally started to see some plants. Don’t know if it took that long to germinate or just took that long to get big enough to see it. Never did amount to anything. It does not tolerate a lot of traffic abuse  - Steve

Subject: [AZH] Crown Vetch as an exhibit ground cover

Does anyone have any experience - good or bad - using crown vetch or
milk vetch as a ground cover in North American Mammal exhibits (non-
ruminates)?

Actually in NY I have seen them plant plants rather than seed along highways. Maybe hydro seeding would be a better route than what I tried. Being a legume the...

I agree with Allison. I would not tolerate introducing crown vetch anywhere. I was surprised to read as many responses as I did before getting to one that...

Do Not use crown vetch! We have been trying to kill it because it is every where. Once you have it, you can never truly get rid of it. I remember reading...
