I've added a "News" section to my website, www.zooplantman.com
highlighting the wonder and value of landscapes and botany, so zoos
and aquariums can strengthen their conservation messages. Check it
for stories you can use to inspire others to conserve Nature.
Today you can see stories on Sweetgum trees in the fight against
Avian Flu (this one will be added later this week), new findings on
Arctic plant species diversity, the effects of plant collecting in
the Himalayas, and other stories exploring the increasingly tenuous
relationship between plants, humans and animals.
Also, you can see plenty of pictures of the African elephant exhibit
at the Nashville Zoo that opened less than a year ago.
I think, if you haven't yet seen it, you'll be pleasantly impressed
with what can still be done in a zoo environment with elephants!
In the future the News section will provide news and information to
help you explore plants roles in ecosystems and various plant-animal
relationships.
You'll also find news of the latest "goings on" for Zoo Horticulture
Consulting & Design (no surprise there, right?)
Spring is really coming,
