May is here! And it's hard to ignore the Plant World in May. This month's Zoo Botanical News (at www.zooplantman.com) features links on new developments in the medicinal or economic or ecological importance of several tree species.
(My favorite is the article on the work discovering that birch "waste" can be used for everything from biodegradable plastic to medicines! What a tree!)
Also, an expedition to the Himalayas discovers previously unknown animals and plants. Several of last month's stories are still shown.
