LARGE Florida Tropical Trees for California   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1718 of 1992 |
The California Academy of Sciences has had a set of large trees grown for them in south Florida under Cal Ag quarantine regulations and has an excess available for anyone who would like to purchase one or more. The buyer would need to arrange for their own site-specific permit in order to bring them into CA.

Available:
1 Calophyllum brasiliense, 18' height
1 Bucuda buceras 25' height
1 Bactris gasipaes (double) 22' + 12' height
1 Pachira insignis 18' height
1 Pachira insignis 20' height
1 Swietenia mahagoni 22' height

All have been acclimated to 70% shade for the past 8 months. All have been tested for nematodes and diaprepes.

They are available to anyone, of course, but the California quarantine protocol has made them expensive.

For information, pictures, etc. contact
