Tom,
We use just about any ginger species with the exception of costus for our primates. We don't have gorillas but we have orangutans, siamangs and one agile gibbon.

Subject: [AZH] ginger lilies for gorilla browse?
hey everyone:
I know there's a lot of interest lately in growing Afromomum melegueta
for gorillas. Does anyone have experience with other ginger species as
gorilla browse? Here at the Little Rock Zoo we have a lot of Hedychium
already growing, which we would like to use if it's safe. Is anyone
already doing this?
