Clovers as groundcover in animal exhibits   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #706 of 1993 |
I am interested in hearing about the use of clovers in animal
exhibits that are subjected to a lot of wear and tear. We have a
wild dog exhibit that is planted with pasture mix grass. The grass
can't stand up to the wear. We suspect that clover would be a more
durable green groundcover. We would try the white flowered prostrate
clover that is common in lawn seed mixes, but don't want a suburban
lawn plant in an African savanna simulation. Are there any other
prostrate clovers that people have had success with as a highly
durable groundcover? Thank you.
