AFPA was informally launched in Kabul at the Mustafa Hotel on May 6 2004.
The original founding article was signed by the founders on July 31 2003.
AFPA aims to provide a forum for foreign media professionals working in Afghanistan to meet and exchange views. AFPA will also act as a first port of call for visiting journalists and a source of practical information.
