Some 24 Israeli army soldiers have been killed in southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours, announced the military branch of Hezbollah Thursday evening.
Hezbollah said in a statement, issued here on Thursday, that these Israeli army personnel were killed near Markaba, Al-Qantara, Mahsrooa- al-Tayeba, Marjayoon na al-Khayam in south and southeastern Lebanon.
The statement also said that the Zionist soldiers held the Lebanese army personnel in Marjayoon barrack as human shield after taking them as hostages.
The Israeli invading soldiers in Thursday's
assault on christian cities of Marjayoon and al-Ghalia faced no resistance and placed them under curfew.
