Brief Biography of our beloved Shaykh:

He is Sidi Muhammad Ali the son of the last living Ghumari Master, Al Hafidh Hasan ben as Siddiq al Ghumari (may Allah preserve him), from his father side he is a direct descendants of the Prophet (sallaho alayhi wa alihi wa salaam) through Imam al Hasan (rad), he is also a direct descendants of Mawlana Abul Hasan as Shadhili (rad) and Sayyed Ahmad ibn Ajiba (rad).  Sidi Muhammad Ali al Ghumari started to study Islam and its sciences with his noble father and blessed uncles who were recognised as the most learned Hadith Scholarly Family in the history of Islam.  He is a master of Hadith and its relevant sciences.  He is known for his simplicity, nobleness and great character.  Amongst the people who he studied with were his paternal uncle the jewel from Allah, Al Hafidh al Hadith Sayyed Abdullah ben as Siddiq al Ghumari (rad) who was also the teacher of Sayyed Muhammad ben Alawi al Makki al Maliki (rad).  Sidi Muhammad Ali al Ghumari also studied with Al Hafidh al Hadith Abdul Aziz ben as Siddiq al Ghumari (rad), Al Hafidh al Hadith Abdul Hayy ben as Siddiq al Ghumari and many more scholars.

Sidi Muhammad Ali al Ghumari is in his late fifties and is a senior professor of Hadith at the University of Tetouan, Morocco and leads the Friday prays at Zawiyah Siddiqia, Tangier, Morocco.  He currently resides with his noble and blessed father and family in Tangier, Morocco.
