Assalam alaikum Ahmad Darwish,
In these times of confusion when especially in the West there are so
many charlatans, pretenders and outright liars whom claim to be
masters of tassawuf replete with silsilas there is a need to clarify
the true from the false. If we accept the opinion that of the learned
that tassawuf or tazkia is from the "furood 'ain" sciences then it is
obligatory to clarify the qualified from the unqualified. after all
in "fiqh" , apart from the Wahabis nobody raises an eyebrow when we
distinguish the "mujtahid" scholar form the unqualified.
We all acknowlege the calibre of the Ghumari brothers and realize
that they were both masters of the sciences of the outside and the
inside. Anybody who was blessed with sitting at their feet, let alone
receiving an "ijaza" is to be considered an exceptional scholar
without a doubt. However, in these strange times many peolple claim
different things therefore especiallly in matters of "ijazas" there
needs to be irrevocable proof when claims are made. therefore could
you please clarify the following matters.
1. Is Muhammad Ninowy a student of the bin Saddique Ghumari or any of
the the other Ghimari brothers. this is something very easy to
establish either through Siddi Hassan or Shaikh Abdullah Talidi. If
he is not then he nothing less than a pretender that neds to be
warned against for the greater good. In a traditional country like
Morocco "ijazas" are normally given with formal authorizations and
witnesses. We all know that you Siddi Ahmad are one of those who was
blessed to study with Bin Saddique, so please clarify this matter.
2. Does Muhammad Ninowy curse Muawiyia (R.A.)? If he does this would
simply make him a shia whom is trying to confuse Sunnis under the
mantle of taqqiyia. This is the case Hassan Saqqaf in Jordan who has
been abandoned by his students as it has become clear that he is an
out and out shia.
no offense to anybody but in these matters where the fundamentals of
our deen are involved there needs to br claifications
Your Brother in Islam,
Naeem Abu Junayd.
