Bismillah

Salaam

Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi roji'un

Kulu Nafsin Daa'iqatul Moowt

It is with great sadness that I announce and inform everyone that the noble and most honourable wife of our master and guide, the greatest Muhadith of his time, the living example of the Prophetic way Hafidh Abdullah ben as Siddiq al Ghumari (rad) as passed away.  She passed away yesterday (26th March 2008) in Cairo, Egypt in her sleep at around 1pm Cairo time.  Her Janaza in tradition with Islam and her wishes was read immediately and she was laid to rest in the 6th October City part of Cairo.  Her passing was confirmed to me in email by Shaykh Ahmad Darwish servant of both Hafidh Abdullah and Hajjah.

Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) was one of the most amazing women I have met in my entire life, she was full of life and her love for her noble husband was amazing, she never referred to him by his name but would always call him "My Master".

Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) relationship with Hafidh Abdullah (rad) was amazing and he Hafidh Abdullah (rad) truly loved her with his entire heart, she stood by him, supported him, comforted him, listened to him and most importantly loved him also with her entire heart.

Her love for Shaykh Ahmad Darwish and his wife Khadija was immense and unparallel; they travelled together and shared a lot of special moments with each other.  Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) would always call Shaykh Ahmad Darwish my son and Hafidh Abdullah's son, she always referred to him as a man of Taqwa and sincerity, she said on more than one occasion that he Ahmad Darwish was her son and that Hafidh Abdullah (rad) loved him more than anybody else to such an extent that when some people complained to Hafidh Abdullah about Shaykh Ahmad, he Hafidh Abdullah said angry "leave him alone, he is not on top of your heads, he who hurts Ahmad hurts me".

Let me share with you all my last meeting with Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha).

I last met Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) in Cairo on Thursday 06th March 2008 along with Shaykh Ahmad Darwish and his wife our beloved mother Khadijah, we took a taxi from Central Cairo to travel to Hajjah, the journey took aroung 30 mints in total.

I will never forget that meeting at all, she looked extremely ill and was not sitting but lying down, she was tied and yet when she saw us she became really happy and started to say to me 1000s Salaams by dear son, she kept on saying it, smiling and saying Dua after Dua.

She looked at Shaykh Ahmad Darwish and in an old fashion way said to him where is my Kufta (similar to Seek Kebabs), why have you not bought me some, Shaykh Ahmad Darwish said to her, "He Umar eat it" and all of us started to laugh.  Shaykh Ahmad sent somebody out to buy some Kufta for Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) and when it came back she put it behind her and said Shukran.

I spoke to her and asked her to do Dua for my family and especially my son, she did Dua after Dua.  She said Allah would honour my offspring and I said to her that I would sacrifice them for the legacy of Hafidh Abdullah and I promised her that I would continue working for the sake of Hafidh Abdullah.

Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) was not like any other women or wife of a Shaykh, Hafidh Abdullah shared everything with her in his entire life and it was her who confirmed a lot of great Karamat of Hafidh Abdullah.

I will share with you two incidents, my friend and dear brother Muhammad Siddiq travelled to Cairo to study, he visited Hajjah and said to her that he wanted to get married to an Arab or somebody else, Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) as usual in her loving way said loudly to him, No, you will marry a Kashmiri and not an Arab or English women and that is what happened, Siddiq only last Monday got married to an Kashmiri women.

The second Karamah is that I asked Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) have you seen Hafidh Abdullah in the state of being awake and she said yes and she said he is a Wali of Allah and he brings me fish.  Subhanullah.

I will Inshallah be holding a Khataam of Quran and Dhikr for both Hafidh Abdullah and his beloved and noble wife in a few weeks, I ask everyone to read Quran, Salawat and especially the Dalail for Hajjah's (Radiyallaho Anha) soul.

Finally after 14 years she is reunited in Barzakh with her noble and beloved husband (rad).  Shaykh Ahmad Darwish said to me before I left Cairo, "brother Umar me and Khadijah both believe this will be your last meeting with Hajjah and you will not see her again", and that is exactly what happened, I am extremely said and upset but at the same I am honoured that I served the wife of our master and that his noble and most beloved wife had only love and Dua for us.

Hajjah (Radiyallaho Anha) I will never forget you, nor will I forgot the love you showed me and the way you made me feel.  You truly served and loved your noble and beloved husband and I pray Allah continues to allow us to benefit from your Dua and Nur Ameen.

With Regards and Salaams

Muhammad Umar alBudally (UK)
