Dear Instructor,
As you may be aware AIWa is no longer organising Annual Wards from
the Honbu due to the geography and size of AIWa.
It has become very difficult for the President to recognise
individuals from each club that achieves well over a period of time.
However, it has been decided that as many clubs have a 'Student of
the Month' award, at the end of the year the student who posses the
most 'mentions' as 'Student of the Month' will be awarded the 'AIWa
Student of the Year'.
If your club does not operate a Student of the Month scheme, and you
would like to take part and allow your student/s to get the
recognition they deserve, please forward your proposals each month
to the AIWa President.
Each club will have there relevant Student mentioned in the AIWa-
News and the names will be placed on a 'score board' at the AIWa-
Honbu.
Student of the Month can be for recognition in any aspect at the
Dojo level. From best attendance, helping the Sensei, organising
discipline, helping others, to best spirit (anything can be
considered for this club level monthly recognition).
There will be two categories for the end of the year awards: Senior
Student of the Year and Junior Student of the Year.
All candidates will be considered from May to November for 2006 and
December to November from 2007 onwards. So start those names rolling
in. Remember, only two names from each club per month (Junior &
Senior). So if you have any, please send in your May nominations NOW!
Best regards & wishes,
