I would like to express my thanks to all those who supported the
AIWa Course with Sakagami Sensei last Saturday. I was very impressed
with the attendance for this event, as the total number of students
present reached almost 160.
Courses like this cannot be conducted unless we have the members to
support it, so my sincere gratitude goes to all that were there –
thank you.
The first pictures of this event are already going up, if you wish
to see them, please visit the SEMKA Forum site or access this link:

Additionally, I would like to thank David Lloyd 6th Dan (Wadokai
England Kumite Squad Coach) for his assistance in the training
course, who passed on his kumite training expertise. Ian Hunter 6th
Dan for his 'light' warm-up. A special thanks to Paul Elliott 6th
Dan for the use of his Dojo. Additionally, I feel that due to
the 'centralisation' of this southern venue, and as AIWa-South
stretches from Cornwall to Kent, I am sure that many more AIWa
Courses will be conducted from there.
I would also like to thank all those parents who committed so much
of their time to the event by organising the administration,
certification, and 'shop' for the day; I felt it contributed
dramatically to the smooth running of the event.
AIWa is a committed member to Wadokai England, and our connections
with Japan, and as a result this has allowed us the opportunity to
be able to organise another Masters Course, with numerous 8th Dan
Instructors visiting us here in England. This event is hoped to be
in the early part of the New Year, and the guest instructor line-up
is hoped to include Hakoishi Katsumi 8th Dan Sensei and Ashihara
Mizuho 8th Dan Sensei. More details on this will follow soon – so
please stay tuned!
Once again... Many thanks to all of you who were there and involved
with the Sakagami Sensei Wado Course in Horsham.
