Dear Instructor
Just a reminder to those who are considering entering competitions this year...
Remember, when entering into competitions outside of British Wadokai, to register (or prefix) your entries as 'British Wadokai - Kyokai' or 'British Wadokai - Cranleigh', etc. This is due to the EKF Licence Chits being registered under British Wadokai and would not be recognised under a 'club' or any other name, as only 'associations' are recognised by the EKF.
Additionally, you must make sure that your students take their Licences with them, as there WILL be a licence check and the EKF Registration Number will be taken for the records of each event.
British Wadokai is a Full Member of the English Karate Federation and the rules are clear - we will not be permitted to compete in tournaments outside of EKF/WKF Membership, so please check to make sure the events you are considering to enter are sanctioned.
Hope this all helps.
Best wishes,
Gary E Swift 7th Dan Kyoshi
