RULES TO BE OPERATED AT THE EKF
FOR COMPETITORS 14 YEARS AND ABOVE THE FULL WKF RULES WILL BE APPLIED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF TIMING OF THE EVENTS. THE LIST OF COMPULSORY EQUIPMENT IS LISTED IN THE WKF COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS. Due to the event being run over 1 day the eliminations will be 2 minutes and all medal places 3 minutes. Sai Shai will be 1minute. The timing of the eliminations may be reduced to one and a half minutes at the discretion of the organiser. 13 years and below. As there are no WKF rules Governing children the following will apply:
- Gum Shields – Compulsory.
- Mitts Red/Blue – Compulsory.
- Shin-pads/foot protectors - Compulsory .
- Chest guards - Girls 11 + Compulsory.
- Chest guards all children 10 and below – Optional.
- All equipment for the minus 13s must be of the approved type, though it is not necessary to have them WKF Homologated.
- Glasses of any type are forbidden in Kumite.
- 13 and below Glasses may be worn in Individual Kata, not in Team Kata.
- Coaches must make sure that their competitors fully understand the Rules before they enter the event.
- It is up to the coaches to make sure they fully understand the rules of competition.
- All entries must be received by deadline date.
- Once entered there will be no changes in category.
- Please ensure that competitors are ready to compete when called.
The co-operation of all coaches is expected to make the event run smoothly and efficiently.
