As of May 2009 this support group becomes part of the patient support supported by the new National Aspergillosis Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester, UK. This group is for the mutual support of all people who suffer from Aspergillus diseases, or who need help while supporting an Aspergillus sufferer.
We are a long-standing, cosmopolitan, multinational group dating back to 1998 and so as a group have a wealth of experience and knowledge of all of the illnesses caused by this fungus.

Aspergillus illnesses (allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA), aspergilloma and aspergillosis (chronic and invasive))are very rare and it is very common for sufferers to feel that they are the only ones who have such an illness. We hope that by joining this group you will feel less alone as we battle together to overcome the effects of this fungus.

This group is moderated by the managers of the Aspergillus Website (www.aspergillus.org.uk) - a charity run concern which has an extensive website and specialist expertise devoted to helping both doctors and laypeople to understand how to best treat these diseases.
