Re: [BAD_MD] sharing helpfull information

Keeping a mood and sleep diary is something we bipolars routinely do.
I think there are templates in the files section here or at my other
website

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/azlanadnan

Two proven techniques to ward off Seasonal Affective Disorder are:
1) exercise every day ~ 30 minutes of profuse sweating does wonders.
Try something aerobic like basketball, squash, etc
2) bright fluorescent lighting in winter to simulate 12 hrs of daylight

Diet also helps. Cut down on protein, eat more veg and fruits, avoid
MSG (monosodium glutamate food enhancer)

Read the old messages at this website and you will come across loads
of useful advice on lifestyle changes to make.

Bipolar is a lifelong illness. It is not CURED or CONQUERED but
MANAGED. Changes in lifestyle, diet etc usually does the trick. Also,
have a look at http://www.truehope.com for a mineral and vitamin
supplement that has been effective for me and loads of other bipolars.
Basically, this food supplement provides the trace elements to help us
bipolars make the necessary neuro-transmitters in the correct amounts,
the premise being bipolars somehow have an imbalance of these
transmitters because our bodies don't or are unable to make them in
the necessary proportions for some reason or another.
