Bipolar & Moving From US to UK (Hampshire). Q about Meds!   Message List

Re: [BAD_MD] Bipolar & Moving From US to UK (Hampshire). Q about Meds!

Thank you to those who responded.

It sounds like I may be in for a bumpy road. I will see whether my present
insurer will allow me to pay to keep my policy until I transition into
private healthcare in England, if that's even available to me, a non-citizen
on a work permit. Perhaps if that works out, that will beat the
'pre-existing conditions' bit? It does over here, as long as you don't drop
insurance for even a day. Otherwise, will have to take what NHS can give me
unless my partner decides it's worth it to pay full price for name-brand
pharmaceuticals. Yikes!

Brian.... the Abilify I'm taking, along with a low dose of Lexapro, is the
first combination that hasn't taken away my sex drive. I went from 2001 to
most of 2004 without giving a monkey's about sex. Killed a 6-year
relationship! So I am nervous, as you can see, about change. I hope you
and your wife find something that gives you back some zip in your marriage.

Krin, heading to Hampshire soon as I can
