Hello everyone, My name is Sharon and I live in the U.K. I am so
pleased to have found this group.
My sister was diagnosed as Bipolar a few years ago,but she does not
think she has a problem and despite being sectioned several times, she
has so far refused all treatment. I think she is heading for another
crisis as she is drinking heavily from morning to night, hardly eating
and her sleeping patterns are all over the place. She is a single Mum
of 3 children who are scared of her as with the drinking, she is
aggressive and unpredictable. Her general health is suffering, she is
so thin and looks terrible. My Parents find the whole thing hard to
deal with and it has made my Dad ill. Her children are now looking to
me for help and I just do not know where to start. How do I help her
when she does not think she has a problem? We have been down this road
before when she was sectioned, she blamed everything on us and said we
were over reacting.
Thanks.
Sharon.
