Re: [BAD_MD] Good Psychiatrists and Some Horrible Ones

Hello Ysemay Grant Ferguson!

There are a few simple things you can do, no side-effects but may make
a great difference to your quality of life. I implore you to try them,
if you haven't already done so:

1) Stop drinking alcohol
2) Stop drinking tea (tea has more caffeine than coffee!)
3) Stop drinking coffee
4) Stop eating foods with monosodium glutamate (MSG)
5) Stop eating food with sodium nitrate (used as preservative in
sausages, burgers, salami. etc)
6) Stop smoking
7) Stop drinking Coca-Cola, Mountain Dew and other soft drinks with caffeine

You may experience some withdrawal symptoms from stopping fags or
coffee but believe me they are nothing compared to if you "cold
turkey' from meds.

If you must drink coffee, take it before 12 noon.

Drink a mug of water (330 ml) immediately upon waking up, first thing
in the morning. This will help flush out all the toxins that have
accumulated in your liver and kidneys overnight while you sleep.
Gradually increase the water intake to 500 ml and then to 1 litre.
This may seem a lot to take in one go, but you need to take it to
flush out all the toxins that are causing your illness and/or
side-effects of the meds. This is different from drinnking lots of
water throughout the day. This is more like a flushing of accumulated
overnight toxins.

You will pee like crazy but that's the general idea!

Exercise everyday. Doesn't matter what exercise you do AS LONG AS YOU
SWEAT FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES. Your sweat will get rid of unwanted
salts that would otherwise act as toxins in your body. It will also
kick-start your system into self-regulating itself and you will see
your sleep and moods more regulated and stable.

These are simple "way of life" things do to. They are not medications
and not dangerous. You have nothing to lose to try them; but all to
gain.

Tell me how you feel in a week or so.

Then we can move on to phase two and I shall give you more "harmless
practices" to follow.

Forget about the labels. In the past 25 years, the psychiatrists have
done nothing but change my diagnosis and my meds. they have never
"cured" me. I have found other treatment modality that have worked for
me, somewhat more permanently and will less side-effects.

warm regards
*AZLK*

Thanks for this but I am tempted now to think that

everyone has diagnosed me wrong... I just don't get

it.

No one... nobody... will accept that I have suffered

from things that I cannot control, I don't know how

loud I have to shout.

I started down the path to diagnosis becuse my

symptoms fitted with ADD or ADHD, but of couse that

isn't on the list in britain unless you are a 5 year

old boy, because we are so behind. So I have been put

into Cyclothemic/Bipolar and if what you are saying is

wright then I don't have it (BAD).

I get very annoyed that the Drs concentrate so much on

depresson, when there are highs to deal with too. And

I can't stand being treated like a naughty child by

the CBT man. BTW I never said I didn't want to do CBT,

I quite clearly said I did, but it is the attitde the

psychologist had.. he didn't even know what meds I was

on and he was treating me like I didn't have Cyclo. so

what am I to think?

I am on Epilim and so far the only side effects I have

had on that are weight gain and itchyness - I can live

with that. I was 'normal' for 5 weeks... it was

increadible... I realised just how ill my brain had

been for over 15 years. But it isn't working so well

now... so who knows... I will be back to squate one

pretty soon. I need an educational psychologist, not

this idiot... I don't want to moan on about my

family... stupid waste of time.

Thanks... x
