Cha Cha Cha is slower & therefore more manageable than the New York Mambo style of Salsa - Also known as "Salsa On2". If you thought that Cha Cha Cha timing was "1, 2, Cha Cha Cha," then you need to take beginners lessons & start all over again and so does whoever taught you to do that even if they are qualified or well respected dance teacher!

We are sorry to announce the premature death of the well known popular young salsa performer / teacher Lee Wright in the early hours of 9th November '08 only 2 days after his 24th birthday whilst on holiday in Malaga, Spain. Full details have not yet been released for legal reasons, but it seems that he was asleep whilst travelling in the back of a car when the car behind failed to slow down & hit them. The new management at Agenda Bar have given us notice to stop BestSalsa lessons there.If anyone knows of a good venue available, please let me know. You could earn 6 free lessons if I use a space that you recommend.
We are pleased to announce that Pia Rauhalinna, a former Seraphim dancer, will be teaching the beginners & improvers again tonight. That's Pia on the left in the picture below take at the Carnival De Cuba.
Learning to dance cha cha cha will help you improve your salsa styling & timing too. The music is a little slower & will therefore help enable you to learn New York Style Mambo which is becoming increasingly popular amongst many salseros & salseras. There is not much time left if Cha Cha Cha is something you want to learn. We will not continue teaching Cha Cha Cha at our new venue unless enough of you demand otherwise & promise to come. Your feedback is welcome - in favour or against.

The new management at Agenda Bar have given us 2 weeks notice to stop BestSalsa lessons there. I will try to negotiate a stay of execution so that I have time to find another venue. I have already made some enquiries, but I want to make sure that I can get the best possible available venue for you. If anyone knows of a good venue available, please let me know. You could earn 6 free lessons if I use a space that you recommend.
I have decided to change the format of our Monday classes with immediate effect. I'll be teaching on my own for the next 2 Mondays. Hence the Cha cha cha class on Mondays will move to the earlier timeslot of 6.00pm and the beginners & improvers will be combined for the second hour. There will be no third lesson on Mondays any more.
