1. A Big thanks to everyone who made the "floor
christening event" at Bar Salsa on Wednesday 4 August
so great. However, we would like to ask for an even
bigger effort for next weeks event (Wed 11 Aug) as we
are hosting a big Charity event in aid of Save The
Children.

Save The Children are our charity partners for THE
LONDON LATINFEST and this event also marks the PRESS
LAUNCH for this festival which takes place between
23-30 August.

Apart from our usual schedule of FREE beginners
classes etc, we have a brand new dance showcase from
Manhattan Mambo UK and Save The Children will hold a
raffle with the first prize being TWO FULL WEEKEND
PASSES to the LONDON LATINFEST CONGRESS WEEKEND. They
will also be collecting throughout the night so,
please give generously and spread teh word to all of
your friends so that we can make this night an extra
special one.

Finally, on this night we have a dance showcase from
Manhattan Mambo so don't miss out and make the mistake

THE LONDON LATINFEST
POETRY - CINEMA - MUSIC - DANCE
Monday 23-Monday 30 August (in aid of the Save The
Children charity)

The London LATINFEST is 8 whole days of art shows,
exhibitions,
classes, performances, workshops, clubnights and
dancing spread throughout the
capital. It has been organised in association with 30
other promoters
across London and the UK and will bring together many
different forms of
dance including Jive, West-coast swing, line-dancing,
Irish dancing and
Katakh & Bollywood as well as salsa, mambo, lambada,
samba, flamenco &
sevillanas, bachatta, merengue and tango.


This years LATINFEST will incorporate and be built
around the annual
London Salsa Congress & The UK Lambada & Samba
Congress as well as the
LATIN RAVE stand at THE NOTTING HILL Carnival. From
Monday –Thursday some
15 different clubs will host a number of different
special LATINFEST
events which include dance shows, special guest dance
classes, poetry
recitals, art shows, cinema nights etc. Then the focus
of the LATINFEST is
the so-called “CONGRESS WEEKEND” (Friday 27th – Monday
30th August).



This includes: A live-concert from 9pm-3am at the
latinGRAND night @
Club Colosseum (Vauxhall), An all-day dance festival
(most of which is
FREE) from 12noon-3am at The Rocket Complex
(Holloway), the workshop
Sunday and All-nighter @ SCALA (King’s Cross) and
concluding with the Latin
Rave event @ the Notting Hill Carnival.



We hope to launch the festival in true style with a
very special launch
event which will HAVE TO BE the biggest of it's kind
ever in the World.
