This one night Salsa extravaganza organized by Ola Latina and Simply Salsa
features one of London’s finest Salsa Bands – CONJUNTO SABROSO.

Formed in 1995 by its lead singer Luz Elena Caicedo, from Cali Colombia, this
highly accomplished 10 piece band features members from various countries in
Latin America such as Colombia, Cuba, Venezuela, and the U.K.; under the musical
direction of master percussionist Wilmer Sifontes from Venezuela, Conjunto
Sabroso have produced and developed their own distinctive and original sound.
They toured abroad as far as China, and with legends of salsa Tito Gomez, Willie
Gonzales, Maelo Ruiz, Cano Estremera, Adelberto Sanitago to name but a few!

Based around the classic “Conjunto” style combining the sound of Piano, Bass,
Tres (Cuban Guitar), a vibrant three trumpet horn section, powerful percussion
(Congas, Bongos, cow bell), and fronted by two exciting and energetic singers,
CONJUNTO SABROSO brings together some of the best and most experienced musicians
in the Latin circuit today. Their authentic swing, and lively presence on stage
provides an exciting show that keeps audiences glued to the dance floor wherever
they play.

In addition there will be a special dance show from Cuba – LAZARO LOPEZ (lead
dancer from the Cuban ‘Hit’ musical ‘Lady Salsa’) and his partner PAOLA.

The evening kicks off with FREE dance classes at all levels taught by
LAZARO LOPEZ (Lady Salsa) and MICHAEL MANDRELL (Tropicana World Champion) & The
Simply Salsa Team.

This event will feature 4 different rooms, catering for different tastes of
Salsa and Latin music -
Main Room: Viva La Republica with the Salsa Republic DJs,
Room 2: Afrocubano: DJ Sol of Afro Cuban Pati (Cuban and African Salsa),
Room 3: Latin Up! – DJ Latin Mist (Up tempo Latin music) and
Room 4: Chill Out Room – overlooking the River Thames.

Many many thanks to those of you that attended our Rueda Weekend it was
FANTASTIC!! And we hope to do it again in the new year. For those of you who
don't know we will be doing our Pati's twice a month from Oct @ Extratime bar,
1-5 Long Lane, London, EC1 (1 min Barbican tube) our next date is sat 9th Oct so
