Re: Windmill power & washing machines

Hi all, windmill power fluctuates too much. I am currently setting up a
system for my remote cottage that uses a UPS from a computer back up
system (Uninterupted Power Supply). This is basically a bank of batteries with
an in built charger and inverter that recognises when the mains power goes
off. It then uses inverted battery power to maintain power to the system and
recharges the battery when the power is restored.

Basically a battery bank buffer between the supply and load.

However, I have decided to use the old style twin tub washing machine as
there are no sensitive electronics and they last forever! - Not everyones first
choice though!

I hope this helps. Vince
