No.

That got your attention, right? :-)

The normal ordinary light bulb is good for lights that will only be
on for a matter of seconds or minutes, e.g. a cupboard/closet, a
wardrobe, a storage room or a bathroom. The energy saving bulbs lose
life span while turning them on, same goes for neon tubes. As a rule
of the thumb, if you're not out of the room for more than ten
minutes, leave them on.

And no again, I don't think they are the future, the future is no
doubt the LED.

They produce practically no heat, just light, no energy losses. And
you can turn then on and off as many times as you like.

They will change the architecture of illumination.
