Are you learning British Sign Language, or thinking of learning? Do you need to meet up with other learners to practise? Would you like to discuss the learning of BSL online? This group is for learners living in the UK who would like to meet other people in their area, in order to practice BSL and/or who would like to share ideas and support one another online. This group is run by students of BSL, for students. Anyone learning or interested in learning BSL is welcome, whether you are deaf, hard-of-hearing, deafened or hearing. Teachers of BSL or all BSL users are also very welcome and we value your comments and/or suggestions. Please do join us and make yourself at home!

When you join, if you are interested in meeting people for practice in your area, please enter your ID and details on the "members' areas" table (click on "Database" on left-hand column of the site, then on "Members' areas", then on "add record" and add your details). This table will allow members to easily identify other members from their area who would like to practise BSL. You do not have to leave your real name, nor your email address and we recommend that members meet in a public place for practice.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ANYONE WISHING TO ADVERTISE BSL COURSES, WORKSHOPS OR TUITION (OR ANY OTHER SERVICE): Please seek permission before posting ANY advert in this group (via posts or calendar reminders). Any advert posted without prior authorisation will have to be deleted. However, you are very welcome to add your details to the "course/workshops providers" database (no need for prior permission for this) or advertise free events.
