Dear Instructor
Just a reminder to those who are considering entering competitions this year...
Remember, when entering into competitions outside of British Wadokai, to register (or prefix) your entries as 'British Wadokai - Kyokai' or 'British Wadokai - Cranleigh', etc. This is due to the EKF Licence Chits being registered under British Wadokai and would not be recognised under a 'club' or any other name, as only 'associations' are recognised by the EKF.
Additionally, you must make sure that your students take their Licences with them, as there WILL be a licence check and the EKF Registration Number will be taken for the records of each event.
British Wadokai is a Full Member of the English Karate Federation and the rules are clear - we will not be permitted to compete in tournaments outside of EKF Membership, so please check to make sure the events you are considering to enter are sanctioned.
Hope this all helps.
Best wishes,
Gary E Swift 7th Dan Kyoshi
