RE: [BromleyNWA] Re: Bus watch

Hi all,

I know some of you may not be totally familiar with the idea of Yahoo Groups,
so please bear in mind when you see an email to BromleyNWA@yahoogroups.com,
this means it will have been sent to ALL members of the BromleyNWA group
(who opt to receive email), and therefore will be archived in the 'Messages' section
on the website.

So in this instance, John was sending this 'reply' to the whole group for everyone's information,
but it was in response to an email from Anthony ("aangus999").

Hope that helps!

Best Rgds, Dave

John,

It was not me who raised who raised the Buswatch issue.

I do note the info about a Newsletter; we have about 600 houses on our Estate and can deliver via our Street Reps.

Hi Anthony
As I understand it Bus Watch was a pilot operation that Debbie Boulares
set up with tfl (Transport for London). It seemed to be successful,
but was never properly evaluated, Debbie left, and new technology (see
Operation BusTag) and new systems (Safer Neighbourhood Police Teams)
were set up. I gather that tfl has a new initiative working with the
Safer Neighbourhood Teams in particular wards.
I suggest you contact tfl and/or your SNT if you want to know more.
Also check out Operation Bustag on this site.
On the question of a newsletter, we hope to have one out in the next
month. Please can you let me, John Bruce, know how many copies you
would require for delivery to all the homes in your watch? Contact me
on John@BromleyNWA.org.uk
All best wishes
John
