Local residents in Petts Wood will have a more dedicated service from its Safer Neighbourhood Team when they move into new premises.  The team has been based at Orpington Police Station, and has had to travel to Petts Wood to carry out their duties.

From March 24th the Safer Neighbourhood Team will be moving into new premises in Petts Wood Road, Petts Wood.  This will mean the police will be able to respond to incidents in a much shorter time.

Sergeant John Kemp described how the journey time had been impacting on their efficiency.  Now the team will be based in Petts Wood they will be more on-hand to deal with local issues.
