Bromley’s response to the events of yesterday
Bromley police responded promptly yesterday to our service requirement to provide immediate assistance to
We were still able to maintain a good level of policing on the borough, by calling in officers and PCSO’s to provide high visibility patrols at various transport locations around Bromley.
These patrols will continue certainly for the next few days, and will be regularly reviewed.
Whilst the events of yesterday were distressing for everyone, it stills remains the case that these incidents are rare, and we would advise everyone to continue with their normal day to day business, but with a heightened vigilance.
Do not leave belongings unattended.
If you see any suspicious items report it immediately to the appropriate person, if you are in a shop, to the security personnel, if you are on public transport or at a station, to a member of staff, and if you are in the street ring 999.
Do not touch the item.
