Protecting Older People (Chislehurst SNT)

 

The London Borough of Bromley has recently launched a campaign, ‘Safe As Houses’, designed to prevent rogue traders and other criminals taking advantage of vulnerable older people in the Borough. Safe As Houses is a nominated neighbour scheme that aims to ensure that older people are never on their own when unknown traders or callers attend their premises.

 

Chislehurst has a significant older population so your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is supporting the campaign by trying to build up a database of older people. As we develop this knowledge we will be able to offer support and reassurance to them, and work to ensure they do not become victims of crime.
