New Non-Emergency police number (London) / Chislehurst SNT Newslette   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #278 of 373 |

To improve your access to all Metropolitan Police services in non-emergency situations, we have introduced a new easy to remember contact number.

The new non-emergency police number live from Oct 6 across London :

                      0300 123 1212

Your Safer Neighbourhoods team is not a 24-hour emergency response team.

999 should always be used if there is any danger, or risk to life, or a crime is in progress.

(Bromley police on 01689 89 1212)

Protecting Older People (Chislehurst SNT)

The London Borough of Bromley has recently launched a campaign, ‘Safe As Houses’, designed to prevent rogue traders and other criminals taking advantage of vulnerable older people in the Borough. Safe As Houses is a nominated neighbour scheme that aims to ensure that older people are never on their own when unknown traders or callers attend their premises.

Chislehurst has a significant older population so your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is supporting the campaign by trying to build up a database of older people. As we develop this knowledge we will be able to offer support and reassurance to them, and work to ensure they do not become victims of crime. If you would like to join the scheme, find out more about it, or know of an older person that would benefit please contact PCSO Dan Betts on 020 7161 9255.
