The
proposed submission Area Action Plan (AAP) for Bromley Town Centre was
published on the 8 June 2009. In contrast to previous periods of public
involvement, this time the Council is inviting representations for six weeks,
until 17 July, based on the ‘Tests of Soundness’ – that
means the AAP must be justified, effective and deliverable. Representations
will be submitted with the AAP and its supporting documents to the Secretary
of State in the autumn before independent examination in public. The AAP and
supporting documents are available for inspection at all Bromley libraries,
at the Civic Centre and on the Council’s web site at www.bromley.gov.uk/BromleyTownCentreAAP
CDs of the
documents are also available on request. Included is the form which must be
used to submit representations, together with guidance notes. |

For
special ceremonies a stunning suite of rooms,
including the Ceremony Room which seats 40 guests, is now available on
Friday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday. The
palace was originally built in 1775 for the Bishop of Rochester, since when
the original Georgian building has had several additions including a
colonnaded veranda running the length of the south side of the building. The beautiful grounds include a large lawn area with mature
trees, shrubs and rose bushes to the rear of the Palace, plus a lake - a
perfect location for photographs which can be taken in the
courtyard, on the wood-panelled staircase as well as in the Ceremony room and
grounds. These interior locations are not usually open to the public. Come
along and view for yourself. |
