We to at Romany Watch have also missed the editions of Watchword and it is nice to know the reasons so many thanks to all who asked the question and those who replied.
When the issue is resumed can I suggest that more consideration is given to layout and fonts used. Individual road co-ordinators are downloading the issues and have to print a number of copies ( even on a sharing basis) in order the issue can be circulated. Many e-mails suffer from the same problem although only a few of these require circulation.
Often the Watchword runs to 7 or 8 A4 pages if printed directly as issued, particularly when photographs are used. Colour again is often used in the issues. We at Romany Watch have to try to reduce the printing costs by adjusting font size, removing colour, and other techniques in order to keep the costs of reproduction down. We try to restrict the issue to 2 double sided A4 sheets, but we still need 15 copies I.e..60 photo prints after editing. These costs are met by one individual as a community service. Can we be sympathetic to him and others in the same situation?
