SmartWater used to track fly-tippers

The Clean Kent Campaign, co-ordinated by Kent County Council is introducing SmartWater to householders in trial locations in Kent from the end of September. to help protect householders against rogue traders and to discourage fly tipping.
SmartWater is being used proactively to forensically link fly tipped waste with the person responsible for its disposal. Enforcement officers will hopefully be able to irrefutably identify the trader responsible for its removal, helping to support criminal investigations which could lead to prosecution.
