Coming to Our Senses
residency at Dance Base with Merav Israel & Moti Zemelman 18-29 June 2007
as part of the residency Moti and Merav will be offering free morning classes (dates and time see below)
Drawing on Contact Improvisation, Authentic Movement, Action Theatre, and other improvisational forms Mark Moti Zemelman and Merav Israel along with a company will explore listening to our surroundings for divine inspiration.
We'll play with all five senses. In this work, rather than thinking or devising what we are going to do next, which takes us out of the moment, we will respond to the awareness of our environment.
As part of the residency we will be performing spontaneous site-specific work as well as a scheduled final public showing.

Free Company Classes at Dancbase: Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 June + Thursday 28 June at 10.00-11.30
Moti and Merav will offer classes in exploring the above themes through Contact Improv ensemble work and other improvisational structures. Class is open to anyone, including dancers/performers/actors and those who are interested and have done some practice in the methods mentioned.
