Community Transport Association - Scottish Community Transport Network
The CTA provides support, advice, information, training and development services to voluntary organisation throughout the UK. We are a membership based organisation who assist non-profit transport operators and other voluntary organisations to use transport as a community development tool. We provide these services to an ever increasing network of over 1,500 organisations via our network of regional offices and advice lines in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
We provide free advice and information services; a year round programme of local and regional training with tailor-made courses for individual organisations; an annual conference and exhibition viewed as the top training event in its field, with one of the largest displays of accessible community and public transport vehicles and equipment in Europe.
This email forum is designed for voluntary sector community transport operators to build a peer-to-peer network which they can use to discuss any aspect of community transport. It allows operators to ask questions which other members of the group may already have had to deal with. Such issues may include legislation, funding, development, operations, training, management etc and could relate to any type of community transport, including car schemes, dial-a-ride, dial-a-bus, group hire, brokerage and co-ordination projects.
