BCN Built Structures
The future of the Tipton Gauging House (BCN Built) highlights the issue of how many BCN designed and built remain.
Early structures were built by contractors, but the BCN built up a formidable workforce that turned their hands to building boats and repairing the system. But the navvies, bricklayers and carpenters were employed also on new construction work.
It would be interesting to hear members views.
