I know you are concerned about government cuts to waterways funding,
so here is a little something extra you can do, and it only takes a
minute or two.
Click on the link below and sign the petition to the Prime Minister.
If you've already been there, done that, got the T-shirt (is there a
T-shirt? Should there be a T-shirt?) – fantastic! Did you pass the
message on to all your contacts?
When I checked this morning the number of signatures was 510. That's
a great start. What will it be tonight? Tomorrow?

The petition was created by Will Chapman and reads:
'We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to introduce
legislation to solve the short term funding problems that have been
caused by the cuts that Defra has made, and threatens to continue,
to the budgets of British Waterways and the navigations the
Environment Agency, and to ensure that long-term funding is made
available to enable the inland navigation authorities to maintain,
improve and restore these important parts of our national heritage.'
